How To Take CBD?

A Guide to Adam’s Organix CBD Products

CBD products come in a variety of forms. At Adam’s Organix, we offer CBD oils and balms. Also, Ubergreen CBD Chocolate uses Adam's Organix CBD oil.

CBD Bioavailability and Methods of Administration

The bioavailability of CBD is the percentage of CBD that reaches into your bloodstream. The length of time it takes for CBD to kick in depends on your weight/metabolism and the potency, dose, and how you take CBD. High doses tend to last longer in your system.

At Adam’s Organix, there are three different ways in which you can use our CBD products.

Sublingually

One of the most common ways of taking CBD is sublingually or under the tongue. Place a few drops of CBD oil on the tongue for fast absorptions. You will have to hold the CBD oil under your tongue for about 60 to 90 seconds. That way, your body will absorb the majority of your Adam's Organix CBD oil into your bloodstream. However, you may accidentally swallow some oil. The sublingual method has a 35% bioavailability. It ensures that your endocannabinoid system absorbs more CBD. The effects of CBD can be felt in as little as 20 minutes and can last for up to 6 hours. At Adam’s Organix, we offer pure 500MG and 1000MG of CBD oils.

Topical

Topical CBD (balms, creams, lotions, and ointments) is applied directly to the skin to treat pain, inflammation, and other issues, like acne. The CB2 receptors absorb topical CBD in the skin, not in the bloodstream. You can apply a little bit of topical CBD products directly to the area that requires treatment. Skin serves as barrier protection and is not as absorbent as under the tongue. Therefore, you may need to use a generous amount of CBD if you have severe pain or inflammation. Once applied to the skin, the effects of CBD can be felt within minutes and can last for more than 5 hours. We offer a 500MG Premium CBD Balm that you can apply directly to your skin.

Edible

You can ingest CBD as an edible in the form of gummies or add it to food and drinks. You can even choose to swallow your CBD oil instead of taking it under the tongue. However, CBD will have to pass through your digestive system and be metabolised by the liver before you can feel its effects – which can take up to 2 hours. Moreover, the body will absorb less than 20% of the CBD when taken in an edible form. However, this method allows for long-lasting effects of CBD that can last for days in your system. We stock edible CBD – an 80MG CBD Chocolate from Ubergreen with Adam's Organix CBD oil.

It is best to have edible CBD on an empty stomach. You can create edibles by adding our Adam’s Organix CBD oil to your food. CBD oil works best when cooked with foods high in fat. Be sure to use foods with good unsaturated fats (avocados, fish, nuts, and even other oils) when cooking with CBD to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Finding the Ideal CBD Oil dose

Your Adam’s Organix CBD oil dose depends on your body weight, metabolism, and the condition that you are trying to treat. One dropper of our CBD oil bottles is equal to 1ml of liquid. Each bottle is 30ml. Therefore, there is 16.6mg in one dropper of Adam’s Organix 500MG CBD Oil bottle and 33.3mg in one dropper of Adam’s Organix 1000MG CBD Oil.

We recommend the following dosage guidelines:

  • ½ dropper or 8.3mg of the 500MG bottle for mild conditions

  • ½ dropper or 16.6mg of the 1000MG bottle for moderate conditions

  • 1 dropper or 33.3mg of the 1000MG bottle for severe conditions

It is important to note that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to taking CBD. What works for one person may not work for another person. Therefore, you may find that you must adjust the dosage guidelines to meet your specific needs.

CBD has a very good safety profile and can be tolerated in very high doses. In clinical studies, participants have been treated with more than 800mg of CBD per day with little adverse effects. So, there is no risk of overdose if you find that you need a few droppers more of Adam’s Organix CBD Oil.
